DearU, as space available to all ages, has implemented youth protection policies as outlined in the Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Use and Information Protection to protect youth from harmful information and help them use the Internet safely.
DearU will continue to strive to cultivate a clean and healthy Internet culture and to help youth grow into healthy personalities through proper information sharing activities.
1. Objectives and fundamental principles for youth protection
We strive to protect youth from mentally and physically harmful surroundings while creating beneficial environments, and thereby stipulate youth protection policies for the provision of safe Internet service.
2. Youth protection device
To prevent youth from being exposed to harmful information without any restraints, we have established, and applied authentication devices (banned words) for posts or chats that are harmful to youth and are actively taking precautionary steps to prevent harmful information from spreading.
3. Counseling damage caused by harmful information and grievance settlement
We are endeavoring to stop the spread of damage due to procrastination and inept handling of remedy by assigning experts for counseling and handling grievances caused by harmful information.
4. Youth access restrictions and measures taken against harmful information
Keywords that are illegal or harmful to youth are banned in each service. In addition, when a harmful post (images, photos, videos, etc.) is detected, we promptly give a warning to the writer and delete the post.
5. Education required to protect the youth from harmful information
We educate youth protection officers and service personnel on all the pertinent matters such as laws and regulations, sanctions, countermeasures against harmful information, and procedures for reporting offenses.
6. Protecting youth by raising awareness among all users
